Born and raised on the Eastern Shore, Kathryn Gearhart is a dedicated runner and lover of all things health and fitness. Kathryn ran cross country and track at Easton High School and later the University of Maryland, where she majored in Kinesiology. Upon graduating, Kathryn spent a year as a teacher in Northern Virginia before returning to her hometown and joining Coastal Run. She now trains for long distance road races and is chasing fast times in the marathon and half marathon, with the long term goal of someday qualifying for the US Olympic Marathon Trials. Kathryn also is a certified run coach, personal trainer, and sports nutrition coach.

Adam Archambault helped stand up Coastal Run in 2021 as a university student looking for real business exposure. Adam worked full time for the company during his summer breaks and has continued to work remotely on both marketing and social media campaigns. In an effort to come on board full time as quickly as possible, Adam graduated college in just 3 years and committed to the growth of the business and providing maximum value to every single customer. His goal for Coastal Run is to be the premium Run Walk Specialty shop found anywhere on the East Coast and to ensure that the fitness community receives the best quality of service and product possible.

Donna Archambault founded Coastal Run in 2021 as "St. Michaels Running Company" As a certified personal trainer, she has been a passionate runner for over 30 years. She also enjoys meditation, yoga, Pilates, weight training & power walking. She loves keeping current on the latest fitness & health trends.

Donna lives in Easton, Maryland with her husband (Shawn), her chessie (Ace), her retriever (Bianca) & her rescue cat (Minnie). She & Shawn have 4 adult children, Alexandra, Rebecca, Rick & Adam, who all enjoy staying active. When she is not fitness focused, Donna enjoys reading, traveling, gardening & cooking.

Donna's goal for Coastal run is to promote her original vision and help reach as many walkers, runners, and fitness seekers as possible. 

Jay is originally from Chicago IL, where he attended Northern Illinois University studying Biology. Upon graduating, he worked as a Marine Biologist for 3 years in Chicago before moving to St. Petersburg FL for 2 years working as an environmental scientist. In April of 2023, Jay settled in St. Michaels MD with his longtime girlfriend Becca.

Jay began running in 2021 and has since completed 3 Half Marathons, 1 Full Marathon and 1 half-ultra. In the near future, he plans to run a full ultra. In his free time, other than running, Jay enjoys lifting weights, fishing, aquarium keeping, playing golf, reading books, gardening, cooking, birdwatching, and playing with his 3 dogs and 1 cat.

Richard Archambault helped found Coastal Run in 2021 as "St. Michaels Running Company". In 2023 Rick joined full time and has assisted in expanding the company into three total locations and unifying them as a common brand. Disgusted after visiting some lackluster shoe stores on the Western Shore of Maryland, Rick dreamt up a vision for a better run walk specialty store where hands off ownership and mediocre service would not be tolerated. Rick heads up business operations for Coastal Run and works to ensure the company fulfills its vision, in both strategy and function. Rick is excited for the future of Coastal Run and making sure the company provides top level service and exceptional products to every customer. Rick's favorite part of working at Coastal Run is attending running festivals in the company "Shoe Shuttle" and outselling other vendors. Just ask him about it sometime ;)

Many of our customers know us as St. Michaels Running Company or Easton Active. As of February 2024, we have shed our shell and rebranded as COASTAL RUN! Our ownership, management team and superior customer service still remain intact as our quality and selection of product has continued to grow. Most importantly, our vision remains unified as we continue to aim at creating an inclusive, inviting and educational community around fitness and health.
